About Baofeng DM-1701
The DM-1701 is designed with solid hardware construction and easy to use programming software. The greatest appeal of Baofeng’s DM-1701 lies in its ability to deliver great DMR compatibility and crystal clear audio. The latest radio programming software and firmware are also available on Radioddity.
NOTE:
The programming cable is equipped with the driver which supports Windows XP/7/10 and there is no need for you to install the driver on your computer. Programming software does not support the macOS system, but you can program through the keypad operation!

Multiple Communication Efficiency
The DM-1701 offers a large storage with 3,000 Channels, 10,000 Talk Groups and 120,000 Contacts. Channel selection can be switched by top rotate knob or input channel number by keypad. CPS supports mass editing on channels and contact IDs, importing and exporting them with CSV format, which makes it easier to write code-plugs and more complex application requirements.
Please kindly know that the software requires that you have Microsoft Excel installed in order to process CSV files.
SMS Function
This product supports DMR data function, and allows sending and receiving messages; the maximum length of each message is 144 characters and less than 50 lines. .

Hard to program! Any help?
Radioddity provides a detailed programming guide. Before using DM-1701, please download in the download area on page lower part.
Radio keeps asking for passwd?
The initial password is 00000000. You can turn on/off/change the password setting directly through the keypad. This function is turned off in the factory settings.
Non stop radio static.
Environmental interference, wrong freq. shift setting, TONE setting error may all cause this situation.

Military Quality DMR
Design for both commercial and amateur usage, the DM-1701 has high quality housing, strong spring belt clip makes it more portable. The 2200mAh Li-ion battery has endurance for 48 hours. Strong Digital Function

Digital alarm function and encryption are also available, encryption only supports calling between the DM-1701 devices.
